Organic forms, textures and landscapes that I photograph are a source of inspiration for my embossed copper artworks.

Copper embossing is done by applying pressure with small metal tools on both sides of a thin copper sheet. By applying beeswax on the surface, I can let the tools flow, creating fluid lines and organic textures by expanding the copper to its maximum without puncturing it. Finally, the colours are created by fire with a torch.
